Steve’s list of credits is as quirky as his own singing and songwriting style. He played bass and guitar in the band The Fall with Mark E. Smith, touring the world with them and contributing material for two albums – notably the acclaimed ‘Fall Heads Roll’ recorded at Philip Glass’s studio in New York. He’s also worked with Paul Heaton (The Housemartins, The Beautiful South) and Cerys Matthews (Catatonia), among many others.
Steve was commissioned to write music for three independent films which toured around Europe, and he has contributed to the score of the Manchester film ‘Hi High Rise’, shown at major film festivals around the country. Steve is currently a singer-songwriter with the band Rubberbear alongside Tom Chapman (New Order).
