Star BIMM Brighton alumnus, Natasha Bent has been shortlisted for another prestigious industry award recognising the incredible achievements of the leading Booking Agent.
This time, Natasha is in the running to be named Best Live Music Agent at the annual Music Week Awards for her work at CODA Agency. She joined CODA last October following ten years with The Agency Group, where she served as vice-president for two years.
Natasha is well known for her humility, dedication, and passion for the artists she represents and is used to collecting awards; previously she’s scooped the Agent of the Year gong at Eurosonic’s European Festival Awards and was inducted into the Music Week Women In Music Roll Of Honour in 2016.
Over the course of a decade, she has worked with an amazing, eclectic set of artists including current stars and festival headliners, such as Foals, electronic innovator The Knife, and top-selling acts Chvrches, First Aid Kit, Cage The Elephant, Foster The People, and Gotye.
After studying Vocals at BIMM Brighton in 2002, Natasha began her career as a backing singer for legendary soul singer Carleen Anderson, and – after a brief stint in music management – she set up her own agency, The Village Agency, in 2004.
Natasha’s success story illustrates how you might start at BIMM studying to be a performer; side-step by working behind the scenes; then end up winning awards!
CODA is home to hundreds of high-profile acts, including Take That, Grace Jones, Bon Iver, Liam Gallagher, Bastille, The xx, The Prodigy, FKA Twigs, Jess Glynne, Sampha, Floating Points, Mark Ronson, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, and Imagine Dragons.
The 2017 Music Week Awards take place at London’s Grosvenor House on Wednesday, April 5. Fingers crossed.
