Allan Glen

Music Journalism

Allan has worked as a journalist at The Guardian and as a broadcast journalist with the BBC. Other senior editorial positions he has held include investigative reporter at the South China Sunday Morning Post in Hong Kong and features editor at The Argus in Brighton.

With 25 years’ experience in journalism, he has written for NME, Music Week, The Stage and Record Collector, and was chief subeditor at Melody Maker for two years. Allan currently works as a news and features writer for music industry magazines LIVE UK and Audience, and writes for national music magazines and newspapers.

His first book, ‘Stuart Adamson – In A Big Country’, was published to critical acclaim by Polygon. Prior to relocating to Brighton in the summer of 2017, he was an academic tutor and guest lecturer on the BA (Hons) Journalism course at the University of Sunderland.
