Paul Turner

Visiting Faculty - Bass

Paul has been the bassist for British funk and acid jazz band, Jamiroquai, since 2005. With them he has toured the world, playing iconic venues including the Hollywood Bowl, Ronnie Scott’s, Madison Square Gardens and Sydney Harbour, and he even took part in a Guinness World Record gig aboard a plane!

He has performed live around the world on TV programmes including Later… With Jools Holland, TFI Fridays, the Late Show With David Letterman and Tonight With Jay Leno, and live event broadcasts such as the MTV Music Awards, Rock In Rio and Party In The Park.
Across his career he has recorded or performed live with more than 80 global artists, including Annie Lennox, Tina Turner, Bryan Ferry, Tom Jones, George Michael, Seal, Take That, Will Young, Kylie Minogue and Basement Jaxx. His ability to cover so many different genres, and to also play upright, fretless and synth bass, led to him being asked to be in the live band for The Voice UK in 2013. A true maestro of his instrument, Paul continues to record with both established musicians and new artists.
