The creative forces that are BIMM Brighton, BRICTT and Access to Music have joined together to showcase the very best creative talent in Brighton and Hove… and you’re invited!

The event will be held from 3pm to 5.30pm on Sunday 23rd April at theatre venue The Old Market (11A Upper Market Street in Brighton), and is a great opportunity to see just how amazing Diploma-level performers across these three unique education facilities really are.

Current British and Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM) and Access to Music Performance Diploma students will be showcasing their talents in guitar, bass, drums, vocals and songwriting, while students on BIMM’s Music Business and Live Sound Diploma courses will be helping to organise and run the event.

BIMM Diploma students will be joined on stage by pupils from BIMM Academy – BIMM’s fun Saturday morning music lesson workshops for young people in guitar, bass, drums and vocals.

Performers from BIRD Studios will also be on-stage to show you what you can expect from the brand new diploma course from Brighton Institute of Contemporary Theatre Training (BRICTT) – the city’s leading provider of Performing Arts education.

The gig will be a very special event because, on top of getting to witness all these outstanding performances from up and coming artists, dancers, actors and singers, there will also be an opportunity for school leavers and their parents to ask questions about the brand new two-year Diploma courses being offered by both BIMM and BRICTT at Brighton Aldridge Community Academy (BACA) from September 2017.

At BACA, BIMM Brighton will run a two-year Artist Development Diploma in Music Performance (Guitar, Bass, Drums, Vocals and Songwriting), as well as a two-year Entrepreneur’s Diploma in Music Business, and a two-year Diploma in Events and Sound Production. BRICTT will offer an A-Level Extended Diploma in Performing Arts. All courses will be the equivalent of studying three A-Levels.

Both BIMM and BRICTT teaming up with BACA means there will be even more opportunities for Sussex students to enter into the creative industries. The dedicated space at BACA’s fantastic new building will provide enhanced specialist facilities and enable BIMM and BRICTT to welcome more Further Education students in the first stages of their creative career journey.

To see the creative industry potential of BIMM, BIMM Academy and BRICTT students first-hand, make sure you come to our gig on Sunday 23rd April. Doors open at 2.30pm.
