BIMM Extra Music Production is an amazing opportunity for new applicants in 2019/20 to supplement their course with extra knowledge in an area that’s increasingly in demand within the music industry.
You will learn the basics of industry standard studio software alongside your degree or diploma with an Introduction to Pro Tools, Introduction to Logic or Introduction to Ableton; available across all of our colleges, to any student on any course.
BIMM Extra Music Production will also provide online content specifically tailored for students who’d prefer to learn remotely or for those that just need some extra reference material outside of their lessons.
Once you have completed the sessions, you will also have the opportunity to practice your new skills by signing up to supplementary in-studio workshops.
What is BIMM Extra?
BIMM Extra is accessed by hundreds of BIMM students every academic year providing them with the opportunity to learn an additional skill over five weekly sessions. They are taught within the college by a specialist tutor and give you a chance to develop your knowledge in an area outside of your main course.
The programme offers a wide range of subjects to choose from, all tailored to develop your music industry skills, such as; Drumming for Beginners, Keyboard for Beginners, BIMM Choir, Intro to DJ Skills, Guide to PR, Singers’ Performance Lab, Higher Education Essentials, BIMM Samba Band, Drum Drill, Intro to Bass, and more.
BIMM Extra sessions and workshops are run and repeated throughout the academic year and they are also a great opportunity to meet students from other courses and expand your network.
