Harriette Mullen to Appear in ‘Cilla’ Musical

20 August, 2018

BA (Hons) Professional Musicianship Vocals graduate Harriette Mullen recently announced the fantastic news that she’ll soon be appearing in ‘Cilla’, the acclaimed new touring musical which celebrates the life, work and music of one of Liverpool’s most enduring showbiz icons, Cilla Black.

During an extensive open audition process which took place in Spring of 2017, Harriette found herself among the final four hopefuls competing for the shows’ lead role of Cilla. Now, the young starlet has confirmed her successful casting for the role of Rose Willis, as well as being the understudy for the lead role of Cilla herself.

As a vocalist and actress, Harriette is no stranger to the stage. She appeared on BBC talent show ‘All Together Now’ in early 2018 and prior to this she featured as a vocalist in ‘Keep Dancing’ – the live touring adaptation of the ever popular television series ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

Shortly after finishing her degree at BIMM Brighton, Harriette signed to the Top Talent Agency group, whose impressive and extensive roster features actors and musicians who’ve gone on to feature in hit West End shows such as The Bodyguard, Matilda The Musical, Billy Elliot, The Lion King and many more. It was this industry connection which first secured her the audition and paved the way for this most recent success.

We’re incredibly pleased for Harriette in light of her recent good news. Here’s what the young vocalist and actress had to say about securing the role.

“I can’t believe that my dream career has become my reality – getting paid for doing what you love really is a wonderful thing. I have loved every minute of the rehearsal process so far & am very excited to open in Rhyl next week & embark on our U.K. tour!”

‘Cilla’ will take Harriette on tour around England, Scotland and Wales until December.

We wish her the very best of luck!
