Felix Shepherd Wows X Factor Judges

10 September, 2018

BIMM Birmingham student Felix Shepherd made his primetime television debut last weekend as a contestant on the latest series of ITV’s X Factor. The judging panel, consisting of Robbie Williams, Ayda Field, Louis Tomlinson and Simon Cowell, gave the BA (Hons) Songwriting undergraduate unanimous support for his heartfelt rendition of Kodaline’s ‘All I Want’.

Felix’s audition not only won support from the studio audience – a strong indicator that he has the potential to go far in this years’ competition, he also received praise from Kodaline themselves, who voiced their approval of his rendition via the following tweet.

The great news comes after the singer/songwriter was presented with the “Rising Star” award by Duran Duran bassist John Taylor at the BMA awards ceremony earlier this year.

To add to his recent success, Felix’s original track ‘Shadows’ recently received airplay on Tom Robinson’s BBC 6 Music radio, alongside bubbling hype on various websites and music blogs, all of which signal early support for his music from from significant tastemakers.

We look forward to seeing how Felix fares as this years X Factor competition unfolds and wish him the very best of luck!
