Entries Open for BIMM Entrepreneur Award

21 July, 2017

If there’s one thing that separates BIMM apart from many other colleges, it’s the continued support we give to our extensive network of graduates. With that in mind, it gives us great pleasure to announce the return of our annual BIMM Entrepreneur Award.

The grant is our way of providing financial help to our most entrepreneurial students. We’ve already helped a number of young start-up companies over the past three years through welcomed additional funding and advice.

Entries for the award are currently open to all BIMM alumni who have graduated in the years 2016, 2015, or 2014. Up for grabs this year is a top prize of £1000, which will go toward further business development costs and expansion.

On top of that, we’re also excited to announce the inclusion of BIMM Manchester in this year’s award, having just seen our first cohort graduate from the college since it opened in 2016.

So, what does it take to win the BIMM Entrepreneur Award? Mark Walsh, a BIMM Dublin alumnus and custom guitar technician, picked up the accolade after impressing our judges with his custom guitar workshop, which he currently runs from a converted shed in his garden.

The funding has helped Mark to pay for more specialist tools to help broaden his expertise, capabilities and the services his business provides.

The BIMM Entrepreneur Award can have a transformational impact on your business. Will you be one of our 2017 competition winners? The deadline for applications is 9 am on Thursday 3 August 2017.
