Submissions for the BIMM Business and Enterprise Award are officially open! The award (which was previously known as the BIMM Entrepreneur Award) has one key difference from previous years – it is now open to all BIMM alumni.
Previously, to be eligible for consideration of the cash award, applicants were limited to recent graduates only. Now, with new rules in place, alumni from any class year can submit an application for a cash award fund of £1000 to re-invest in their businesses.
Perhaps you’re running your own function band, have set up a teaching practice, rehearsal space or recording studio. Or maybe you run your own events, promotions company or festival. Whatever the business model, successful candidates will be required to have demonstrated strong entrepreneurial business skills.
Applications close on June 25th, 2018, with applications being passed on to College Principals and Careers and Industry Teams at each campus for the final decision. There can only be one winner per campus, but you have to be in it to win it!
If you’re interested in applying, please sign up to BIMM Connect and head over to the ‘Groups’ section for the campus specific application form. CLICK HERE TO GET STARTED!
What would you do with the money if you won?
Take a look at a our most recent award recipient to see what’s possible with the award funds.
One of our most recent recipients of the award was Alecksyy Nuisance. Having completed his BA Hons in Commercial Modern Music Degree – Guitar back in 2016, Alecksyy soon started his own event company, EX OH Promotions. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength and he now runs regular live music events at Fibbers, one of the city’s best small venues.
