BIMM co-sponsors stage at Victorious Festival

28 June, 2018

BIMM students and alumni will be performing at one of the UK’s biggest metropolitan live music events, Victorious Festival, in sunny Portsmouth this August.

The performance opportunities came about through BIMM acting as an official co-sponsor and curator for ‘The People’s Lounge’ stage alongside international charity Arms Around The Child, whose non-profit work helps children living with extreme adversity in Africa and India.

The collaboration means various BIMM students and alumni will appear on the same weekend line-up as big name acts such as Neneh Cherry, The Libertines, Paloma Faith, Kaiser Chiefs, Happy Mondays and 90s Britpop icons Sleeper (featuring BIMM Brighton’s own Jon Stewart and Andy Maclure on guitar and drums).

Check out some of last years’ highlights, here.

BIMM students and alumni including Tilda AllieCiviLDottie, La lune, LebeauxScott Booth and The Yellow Bellies will feature alongside artists from all corners of the globe at the festival’s ‘World Music Village’ – with BIMM Brighton indie quartet Fur having the distinct pleasure of a special appearance on the main stage.

An expected turnout of 120,000+ music-loving ticket holders are set to descend on Portsmouth for three days of fun in the sun, which of course mean this opportunity has the potential to dramatically boost the profiles of all performers involved.

We wish each of our performers the very best of luck at Victorious Festival 2018, and look forward to seeing them take to the stage.
