Festivals Work Experience

How would you like to help set up, run and even perform at some of the world’s best-known music festivals like Glastonbury, The Great Escape and 2000trees? Here at BIMM, we give you the opportunity to see how a festival really works.

Our festival partnerships include:

  • Glastonbury
  • The Great Escape
  • 2000trees
  • Brighton Pride
  • Barn on the Farm
  • Twisted Village
  • Brighton Festival

It’s these kinds of UK festivals that get our hearts beating a little faster. After all, we’re talking about the best bands in the world combined with the chance to completely immerse yourself in music for three to five days. Sounds like the dream, right?

Whether it’s on Worthy Farm, down near Newquay or deep in a forest in the Cotswolds, you could be performing on stage or working behind the scenes – and simultaneously soaking up invaluable real-life experiences.

What work experience can I do?

What work experience can’t you do?

We offer festival work experience placements that compliment your chosen course and discipline – and give you the edge when it comes to applying for internships and jobs after you graduate. You’ll get to know the people working there, make new industry connections and see how large-scale festivals are put together.

Our placements include roles such as:

  • Site office manager
  • Production assistant
  • Artist liaison
  • Accreditation assistant
  • Stage management
  • Front of house (FOH) engineering
  • Backline technician
  • Performance-based opportunities
  • And many more

But don’t just take our word for it – hear from the students themselves who have volunteered for placements and got stuck in.

Georgia and Napsugár worked as Artist Liaisons at 2000trees festival while Sam managed the press tent and Oli worked as a stage technician. Check out what their roles involved – and the benefits of our BIMM Festival work experiences.

And, it’s not just UK festivals that we work with either. We also work with festivals across the channel, providing the perfect opportunity for our BIMM Berlin and BIMM Hamburg students to get involved. Check out our round-up of Reeperbahn Festival 2017 where three BIMM Berlin bands got the chance to take to the stage:
