BIMM’S GUIDE TO CLEARING

All you need to know

Clearing at BIMM will be open on Thursday 5th July 2018 for our Higher Education programmes starting October 2018… so if it’s a life in music that you’re after, don’t worry – there’s still time.

‘Clearing’ is the term used for the way universities and colleges fill any places they still have available on their courses, and applications are made, at least partially, via contacting the educational provider directly.

For us, that means publicising a list of BIMM courses which still have vacancies, and for you it’s an ideal way to find another course if you aren’t totally satisfied with the current options you have in front of you.

This year, BIMM Clearing is available from Thursday 5th July to Thursday 20th September. If you already have your exam results, but no offers, you can use Clearing from July. If you’ve had conditional offers, but your exam results didn’t quite go according to plan, you can use Clearing from around 8am on A Level results day when universities and colleges place a list of their vacancies on the UCAS website.
