Rebecca is an experienced lecturer in songwriting and composition, with a passion for the history and development of songwriting in the 20th and 21st centuries. As a songwriter, composer, producer and session singer she’s worked in a wide range of contexts within the music industry, including writing for theatre and children’s TV.
Rebecca currently writes and performs both as a solo artist, where she goes by the pseudonym of Cogwheel, and as one-half of the experimental duo Cogwheel Dogs, whose EP ‘Greenhorn’ received wide critical acclaim. Outside of music, Rebecca is also a practising artist across many mediums. Her academic record includes an MA in Music, a degree from Oxford University and a PGCE in the Lifelong Learning Sector, together with Grade 8 Vocals (LCM).
