Pedro Catela

Before coming to the UK, Pedro worked as a session musician, songwriter and recording engineer with artists such as Sara Tavares (World Connection), Paulo Gonzo (Sony) and Toranja (Universal). He now regularly co-produces with Nuno Cruz (Music Licensing of Hollywood, Hell IX), working with up-and-coming artists in the studio to develop their sound.
As an academic, Pedro is a governor of the Self-Managed Learning College and works closely with a wide range of schools in the South East to develop effective teaching practice – providing PGCert students with a whole host of opportunities. He’s extremely passionate about teaching and learning, and has been part of the BIMM team since 2009.
