Leo Nicholas


Cutting his teeth in the music industry while studying for a Bachelor’s Degree at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA), Leo undertook work placements at Atlantic Records and Warner Music, before graduating with Honours in 2006. In 2007 he assumed the role of Marketing and Development Manager at A Wolf At Your Door Records, spending three years growing the label into one of the UK’s brightest, rock-centric and talent-incubating independents. During his time at the helm, he signed and developed the careers of Deaf Havana, Lower Than Atlantis and Survive Atlantica (who became Eliza and the Bear) – all of whom went on to sign major label deals.

Leo joined Universal Music in 2010 as UK Label Manager for their hard rock/metal imprint, Spinefarm Records. During his time there he signed Kerrang! award nominees, Decade, and the genre-defining, post-hardcore quintet, Finch. In 2015, Leo was promoted to the role of Director of Marketing, where he led campaigns for global artists including Anti-Flag, Korn, Ghost, Protest The Hero, Rammstein and Volbeat, among many others.
