Jules Gulon

Mixer and Producer

Soon after finishing his course, Music Production alumnus Jules Gulon secured a role as freelance assistant at Pierce Entertainment, which in-turn led to a role as mix preparation assistant on live sessions for the BBC. He currently operates on a freelance basis.

Jules wasted no time in racking up some impressive accolades after graduating from BIMM London in 2017. Soon after finishing his course, the Music Production alumnus’ first job included being mix preparation assistant with live sessions for the BBC including a live studio performance from Sam Smith.

Jules puts all of the skills he learned during his BA Honours Degree at BIMM to good use every day, which serves to highlight just how well the course works for prospective music engineers and producers alike.

“The multidisciplinary aspect of the course means a lot to me.” says Jules. “Learning about how the industry nowadays operates, composition techniques, and production skills is something I have been treasuring as a graduate. I’ve also been encouraged to learn and research more about what already meant a lot to me, which is something I do all the time now. So, it was great to receive this strong foundation from my studies.”

Jules aims to use the experience he’s gaining to continue on his path towards being a producer in his own right.

“I definitely see myself continuing on the music production route. I love recording, producing, mixing, writing and overall crafting something worthwhile with musicians. There is no reason for me to stop now!”
