EMPLOYABILITY

BIMM prides itself on providing students with the knowledge, training and opportunities required to achieve success within a growing music industry. During their time studying with us, students gain direct-access to events, internships and professional networks via our Work Based Learning program, which helps them to establish real connections with the industry. Here, we showcase just a handful of our more recent success stories.

SARA MENEGHINI – BMG

BIMM Brighton Professional Musicianship graduate Sara Meneghini secured herself a full-time role at BMG Publishing before she’d even graduated. The Vocals student started out doing an internship at BMG during her third year of study and has since returned to fulfil a position as Junior Product Manager.

She describes her experience so far; “I started in July 2017…and worked on projects for Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, Kylie Minogue and Ken Hensley just to name a few. It’s been a very intense and exciting journey so far.” The news serves as a fantastic example of how the Work Based Learning opportunities made available to BIMM students, regardless of their discipline, help open doors to promising careers behind the scenes within the music industry.

Having originally studied a BA Hons in Professional Musicianship – Guitar, Simon found great success in Singapore as the founder and CEO of Mighty Bear Games. Before launching their first product, the company acquired over S$1 Million pre-seed funding from outside investors. Simon remembers his student days well and claims he wouldn’t have formed such a keen business-mind if it weren’t for his time at BIMM.

“I can honestly say that I probably wouldn’t be CEO of an investor-funded games studio if I hadn’t gone to BIMM and studied with them.
