BIMM London is pleased to welcome Leo Nicholas as our new Head of Industry Liaison and Careers.
Leo has a decade of experience within the music industry. After work placements at Atlantic Records and Warner Music, Leo assumed the role of Marketing & Development Manager at A Wolf At Your Door Records, developing the label into one of the UK’s brightest, rock-centric independents. During his time at the helm, he signed the emotionally-charged Deaf Havana (BMG/Infectious); BBC Radio 1 favourites Lower Than Atlantis (Sony/Easy Life); and the enigmatic Survive Atlantica, who transitioned to become Eliza and the Bear (Capitol).
Following a successful three-year stint at AWAYD, Leo joined the Universal Music Group in 2010 as UK Label Manager for one of its subsidiaries, Spinefarm Records. During his time at UMG, he signed Kerrang! award nominees, Decade and the genre-defining, post-hardcore quintet, Finch.
Promoted to Director of Marketing in 2015, Leo worked campaigns for global artists including Korn, Rammstein, Rob Zombie & Volbeat plus many more. Alongside his role at UMG, Leo has also appeared on numerous industry panels and is a judge for Rock The House, Parliament’s biggest music competition, raising awareness of copyright and Intellectual Property.
