| Bang Bang Bang reach Number 2 in the indie charts! (June 08) |
| BIMM band Bang Bang Bang is currently Number 2 on the Official Indie Singles Chart this week! The three piece band has beaten the likes of Futureheads, Adele and Pigeon Detectives to the spot. Previous touring commitments means they have supported Blood Red Shoes, The Damned, Operator Please, Those Dancing Days, Ted Leo & The Pharmacists and Crystal Castles. | The Disciples of Shred EP to be released on iTunes (August 08) |
| The release of The Disciples of Shred (in the search for the unknowable scale of truth – Acts 1 to 4) is due to be released on Monday 11th August. The EP will be sold as a download only on iTunes. The track is just over 10 minutes long and will be released via South Coast Sounds. It will feature a variety of musicians to showcase the talents of current and past BIMM guitarists. All guitars were played by our musicians with the exception of the opening solo by the awesome Pat “the shred” Heath. The piece is truly epic and moves through different shred styles demonstrating immense technique, speed and general guitar mayhem. ALL PROFITS FROM THIS RECORDING WILL BE DONATED TO THE NORDOFF ROBINS CHARITY. |

| FLOORS AND WALLS – FINALISTS IN ROAD TO V2008 + CHANNEL 4 SHOW ON THE 18TH JUNE! (June 08) |
| Floors And Walls have been announced as one of the 14 finalists to make it through to the Road to V2008 competition. Two winners will get the chance to play on the main stage at both V2008 festivals in August! The bands are being judged via performances which will be aired on Channel 4 throughout June and July. See Floors and Walls on Channel 4 on Wednesday the 18th of June. The show will air in the 4music zone around midnight. | BIMM tutor plays with Santana (June 08) |
| BIMM tutor Billie Godfrey will be singing with Beverley Knight supporting legendry artist Santana. Billie will be performing for three nights on 20th June at NEC Birmingham, 21st June at MEN Arena Manchester and 22nd June at O2 Arena London. Billie said in response to the gigs “Personally I can’t wait, I’m a massive fan of Santana”. Previous recording commitments even found her covering Santana tune “Free As The Morning Sun” with fusion band Mr Hermano (released on Disorient Records) so no doubt this will be an experience to remember for Billie! |

| BIMM graduate to play O2 Wireless Festival (July 08) |
| BIMM graduate James Drohan is getting ready for a mega hectic summer! James plays drums for Luke White (Dramatico) and has been busy touring Europe over the winter. The band has just confirmed a new date over the summer with the O2 Wireless Festival (supporting the likes of Counting Crows, Ben Harper, Goo Goo Dolls and Eddy Grant) and Bowling for Soup. If you’re at the festival it’s worth popping down to see this band, they’ll make it worth your while! |

| BIMM musician records with Will Young (May 08) |
| BIMM degree musician Steve Carter just recently completed 2 tracks for the new Will Young album. The album will be due out later in the year and will feature Steve on guitar. His previous credits include The Spice Girls, Lee Mead, Simon Webbe, Shaun Anthony and Kylie Minogue. In response to his recording with Will Young, Steve said "it was a pleasure working with Will and I was also fortunate enough to use the new Gibson Robot guitar on one of the tracks". Well done Steve, we look forward to listening to the new tracks . . .

| BIMM band Rubylux get record of the day! (April 08) |
| Industry website Record of the Day announced BIMM band Rubylux as their chosen artist! The independent online company sends out essential daily bulletins to the music industry of what bands is the next big thing. The exposure gives excellent promotion to the lucky artists and advertises forthcoming showcases as well as website links. Record of the Day picked out the band’s track “Don’t Feel So Low” and said “There’s lots of potential on the strength of what we’ve heard so far” and needless to say this coverage is going to make waves. Rubylux drummer and BIMM musician Mike Hall said “After seeing previous chosen artists going on to bigger things I’m really excited about the response to the record. | BIMM band Your Army touring the UK! (April 08) |
| Alternative rock BIMM band Your Army are currently playing at a venue near you!! The female fronted four piece is doing a massive UK tour and is causing a storm along the way with their electric live shows. The band toured various places such as Isle of Wight, Bournemouth, Oxford, London, Glasgow, Leeds, Exeter, York and Liverpool amongst many others. The tour is in support of their forthcoming debut EP release “What Will The People Say?” which is available on itunes from 17th April. The EP will also include an exclusive bonus track!!
