Mark formed JJ72 in 1996 and was lead singer, songwriter, guitarist and manager. Signed to Sony Records whilst still at school, their first album produced by Ian Caple (Tricky, Tindersticks, Deus) reached the top 20 in the UK and the top 10 in Ireland and had four top 40 UK hit singles. JJ72’s second album recorded with Flood (Depeche Mode, U2, Smashing Pumpkins, PJ Harvey) also went top 20 in the UK and top 10 in Ireland, scoring two top 40 singles. They played on major tours with U2, Coldplay and Muse and all the major festivals. Since JJ72, Mark has been in Concerto for Constantine and toured with Smashing Pumpkins and Snow Patrol. In 2008 Mark developed and judged 2FM’s ‘School of Rock’ competition, and was responsible for the management and career development of the winner- resulting in a worldwide record deal with Universal. Since 2010, Mark has been writing and recording his solo album with Dave Eringa (producer-Manic Street Preachers).
