BIMM Dublin's Ryan O'Shaughnessy in final of Britain's Got Talent
BIMM Dublin student Ryan O'Shaughnessy stormed into the final of Britain's Got Talent when he performed another one of his own compositions in the live semi final on Thursday night.
Ryan beat tough competition from a variety of performers to book his place in the live final on Saturday night. His performance was a hit both with the audience and the judges. David Walliams described Ryan as a "major talent" saying he was writing "the most beautiful songs" he'd ever heard. After the recent drama surrounding Ryan's appearance on The Voice of Ireland, Simon Cowell commented, "Their loss is our gain". He went on to say that Ryan was "a brilliant songwriter and a brilliant singer", and commented that Ryan could be the dark horse in the competition.
Ryan will join fellow BIMM Brighton student, Sam Kelly, in the live final on Saturday night.
The show airs on TV3 on Saturday night at 7.30pm. To vote for Ryan visit http://www.tv3.ie/britains-got-talent/bgt-vote.php.
