Nick Evans - Choppersaurus

Nick is a Guitarist/Programmer/Performer/Songwriter and DJ, and played guitar for The X Factor 2011 live shows.

Nick has worked and played with a wealth of musicians over the years that include Xenomania, Marina & The Diamonds, Mason, Bobina, Polly Scattergood, Steve Evans (Siouxsie Sioux, Robert Plant), Tom Dalgety (The Mission, The Proclaimers), Jake Shillingford (My Life Story) and film composer Mark Thomas.  During this time he was also lead guitarist in The Girls, who were signed to Wall of Sound.

More recently, Nick has started a songwriting/production company called Chøppersaurus. They write music for television, adverts & major label artists. So far they have co-written highly acclaimed singles for Mason (You Are Not Alone) & DJ Bobina (Angel Of The North), which was a top 5 hit in Russia with over 70,000 radio plays.  They also regularly contribute library music to Sky television.

Nick is also part of a Bath based industrial goth band/production duo called Motorcade, with Tom Dalgety. They constantly write, produce and record our own material.  The band have been working on our debut album between The Cave & Rockfield Studios, Monmouth.

In addition Nick is one half of a DJ duo called "This Is Stereo".  We are regulars on the London club scene (Pacha, Ministry of Sound, Scala) and successfully arranged a one-week tour in Ibiza, which culminated in a healdine slot at Eden, one of the islands most reputable super clubs.

Nick moved back to Brighton in 2012 – and now splits his time with writing and working as a songwriting assessor at BIMM.
