MARK WHITLAM

Drum Tutor

Mark puts musicality and versatility at the centre of his approach to playing. It is these qualities, paired with a tasteful groove and excellent sight-reading, which place him in high demand in a diverse range of musical settings, ranging from West End theatre shows to supporting the London Community Gospel Choir. Mark has a natural affinity for improvisation and swing which makes him one of the first call jazz drummers on the circuit. He works with Mark Hanslip, Kevin Figes and James Chadwick amongst many others, and recently played Glastonbury Festival as part of a national tour with the experimental modern jazz quintet, Five Spot.
