Head of Songwriting and Music Business Tutor

Gerard Langley has been the leader of Bristol’s biggest guitar band, The Blue Aeroplanes, since their first album in 1984, selling close to half a million records. They have released albums on EMI, Chrysalis, Beggars Banquet and Fire Records, as well as on their own labels. Ex-members of the Aeroplanes have played with Massive Attack, Primal Scream, Suede, Goldfrapp and many others. Gerard has also released solo and duo albums and collaborated with many other musicians and writers, including Michael Stipe of REM. The Aeroplanes have toured the world several times and have a new album that was released in 2011 on Vinyl only and the CD will be released in Spring 2012. Gerard’s Collected Lyrics is scheduled for publication around the same time.

behalf of its awarding body.
The review team has confidence that BIMM is fulfilling its responsibilities for managing and enhancing the quality of the intended learning opportunities it provides for students.
The review team concludes that reliance can be placed on the accuracy and completeness of the information that BIMM is responsible for publishing about itself and the programmes it delivers.
