Annie Gardiner is a songwriter, bass player and vocalist best known for shredding in critically acclaimed, noise-pop, bass n drums duo Hysterical Injury (think Lightning Bolt meets Stereolab). HI’s first album, out this year, won funding from The Joe Strummer Foundation (The Clash). She has shared her vocal, bass playing skills and collaborated with the likes of French electronic artist Rafiralfiro (Fresh Poulpe/A Future Without), GALLOPS (Holy Roar), She Makes War (Independent), Je Suis Animal (Angular Records / Perfect Pop), The Penelopes (Citezan), The Veees (Invada). She has several side projects including solo electro/dreamo clash Excellent Birds. She started up her own DIY record label and publishing company (of the same name), Crystal Fuzz Records.
