| Night of Guitar’s ’Guitar Wars’! (Feb ’10) |
| BIMM Bristol will hold ‘Night of Guitars’ on Thursday 18th February 2010. The event is in conjunction with Total Guitar Magazine and will host the finals of the ‘Guitar Wars’ competition. BIMM guitarists Ben Poole and Joe Tighe have reached the finals alongside Ed Stevens who will all battle for the title in a bid to win a slot for their band at Download Festival 2010. The winner will also get a single release on iTunes through BIMM’s record label South Coast Sounds. Guitar Gods Guthrie Govan and Adrian Legg will perform on the night and BIMM’s Head of Guitar Stuart Ryan will compere. Its going to be an incredible evening and there will also be a special guest judge appearance from Ozzy Osbourne’s guitarist Gus G! The event is by invitation only. This is a great achievement for our guitarists as the readers of Total Guitar voted for their favourites online. |

| End of Term Gig (March ’10) |
| Make sure you put our End of Term gig date in your diary! At BIMM Bristol the event will happen at the rock reputable live music venue Thekla on Tuesday 16th March. | Live and Lyrical (Feb ’10) |
| We have our Live and Lyrical gig coming up on Wednesday 24th February at Metropolis. The event is a great chance to see some of our new and upcoming musicians perform in Bristol’s legendary alternative venue. | NIGHT OF GUITAR ROCKS (MAY 09) |
| BIMM Bristol presented its first Night of Guitars to a packed audience at Mr Wolfs – our special guest and guitar virtuoso Guthrie Govan tore the roof off in front of a rammed audience. The evening was compered by Head of Guitar and fingerstyle maestro Stuart Ryan who also performed several solo pieces in between acts whilst ex BIMM student Ben Poole showcased why he is regarded as one of the UK’s finest emerging blues talents. The evening was rounded off by Mr Govan’s mind blowing performance which left a packed Mr Wolf’s in awe. Earlier in the day Guthrie gave a masterclass to BIMM Bristol guitar students leaving all in attendance in no doubt as to why he is regarded as one of the finest guitarists on the planet. |

| Night of Vocals (May 09) |
| The first BIMM Bristol Night of Vocals was a resounding success with outstanding performances from BIMM’s vocal department. With a variety of 8 performances the songs ranged from rock and soul to new tracks by BIMM songwriters. To top off the night a very special guest performance from ex BIMM musician and BRIT award nominee Beth Rowley finished off an electrifying night. |

| BIMM Bristol - Total Guitar Summer School (Aug 09) |
| BIMM Bristol is running Summer Schools for the first time this year from Monday 17th August - Thursday 20th August. Come on the 4 day intensive summer school for guitar, bass, drums, vocals or keyboards to learn and play with some of the best tutors in the country. Previous tutors include: Jason Bowld (Pitchshifter), Kieron Pepper (Dead Kids, ex drummer Prodigy), Carleen Anderson (Brand New Heavies) and Kenwyn House (Reef). | A night dedicated to BIMM vocalists! Come along and see what some of our vocalists are up to with a variety of performances. It’ll be the last chance to catch up with our graduating musicians. | Term 2 End of Term gig rocked (March 09) |
| BIMM Bristol’s End of Term 2 gig was a resounding success. The level of professionalism and quality of material raised the bar even higher. With a huge amount of original songs performed on the night this really was an example of how hard work and the guidance of specialized teaching can really push you to the max. Highlights included Ciaran O’Malley, Coda (Matt McGowan) and Harry Hornsey as well as BIMM album finalists Gerard McCartan and Futures.
