| Term 3 Gigs Review (June ’10) |
| BIMM Bristol hosted the singer songwriter night ‘Live and Lyrical’ which raised the bar with the level of superb original material performed. All performances provided their own distinctive style which made the events exciting and offered something for everyone. The End of Year gig was held at the renowned rock venue Thekla, all money raised from the gigs throughout the year were donated to The Rainbow Centre – a charity which provides free and professional support to children and their families affected by illness. Kasabian drummer Ian Matthews presented the £1500 cheque to the charity’s Director Angela Emms whilst he was in town for his masterclass. |

| BIMM Album Launch Party (June ’10) |
| The new BIMM album ’What’s Inside Your Head? Vol 3’ released on BIMM’s independent record label South Coast Sounds, features 14 original recordings from BIMM Bristol and BIMM Brighton musicians. The album is available to download on iTunes and you can also buy a copy of the CD from both BIMM receptions! All proceeds go to Nordoff Robbins, a music therapy charity for children and adults whose lives are constrained by illness, disability, trauma or exclusion. The album launch party took place at the Pav Tav in Brighton, a popular music venue, as part of the popular Great Escape Festival. The sold out show featured amazing live performances from a variety of BIMM album artists. Our musicians performed original tracks to an audience of music industry guests. |

| Xmas End of Term gig (Dec ’10) |
| Make sure you put the End of Term gig date in your diary! BIMM Bristol’s finale will take place at the Thekla on Tuesday 7th December 2010. It will be your chance to come down to catch the latest new music coming out of BIMM Bristol. Tickets are available on the door for £3 or you can buy a ‘Live for a 5’ pass (£5 laminate which gets you into any 5 BIMM gigs). Address: The Grove, East Mud Dock, Bristol, BS1 4RB. | BIMM Bristol - Total Guitar Summer Schools BOOKING NOW FOR AUGUST (Aug 10) |
| BIMM Bristol is running Summer School this year from Monday 2nd August - Thursday 5th August 2010. Come on the 4 day intensive summer school for guitar, bass, drums, vocals or keyboards to learn and play with some of the best tutors in the country.
You will be studying and playing pop, rock, indie, blues and funk, including songs in the style of ; Deftones, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Oasis, Funeral For a Friend, Lost Prophets, Paramore, Arctic Monkeys, Jimi Hendrix and U2.

| BIMM Open Day booking now for September 2010 |
| BIMM have confirmed their next open day in Bristol which will take place on Saturday 11th September at 12pm.
Come and meet our BIMM staff, students and tutors and be part of our presentations and workshops held in our fantastic facilities at BIMM.
BIMM Brighton open day also takes place on Wednesday 1st September 2010.

| We have our first Live and Lyrical gig of the year on Wednesday 17th November 2010 at Metropolis. The event is a great chance to see some of our new and upcoming singer songwriters perform. | BIMM Graduate wins Total Guitar’s ’Guitar Wars’ final at Mr Wolfs! (Feb ’10) |
| BIMM Bristol held a ‘Night of Guitars’ on Thursday 18th February 2010. The event in conjunction with Total Guitar Magazine hosted the finals of the ‘Guitar Wars’ competition. BIMM guitarists Ben Poole and Joe Tighe reached the finals alongside Ed Stevens who battled it out for the title in a bid to win a slot for their band at Download Festival 2010. BIMM graduate Ben Poole won the competition which was judged by Ozzy Osbourne’s guitarist Gus G and Steve Lawson the editor of Total Guitar.Guthrie Govan and Adrian Legg also performed on the night. This is a great achievement for our guitarists as the readers of Total Guitar voted for their favourites online. Ben is pictured here with Gus G who also took part in a BIMM masterclass earlier that day. |

| Night of Vocals (May 09) |
| The first BIMM Bristol Night of Vocals was a resounding success with outstanding performances from BIMM’s vocal department. With a variety of 8 performances the songs ranged from rock and soul to new tracks by BIMM songwriters. To top off the night a very special guest performance from ex BIMM musician and BRIT award nominee Beth Rowley finished off an electrifying night. |

| End of Term Gig (June 09) |
| The last End of Term gig for this academic year is set for Tuesday 23rd June. The evening will showcase some great BIMM singer songwriters, bands and artists. Make sure you come down and show your support. It’ll be one for the calendar for sure!
