As a music journalist, Marcus has written for The Guardian and The Independent and appeared on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 3 and CNN. He has also presented regular podcasts for The Independent and Music Week and is currently working on an authorized biography of Robert Wyatt. He is currently signed to Ninja Tune as one half of Grasscut.
