The Gypsy Queens Sign to London Records!
Multi-national busking band The Gypsy Queens have signed a record deal with Universal Music on the newly re-formed London Records. With new management and a big push from London Records ahead, Gypsy Queens look set to reach wider audience with their debut album released on November 5. The album has been produced by the celebrated Larry Klein – who has worked with Joni Mitchell and Herbie Hancock with guest appearances from an array of talent including Madeleine Payroux, Booker T and Graham Nash (of Crosby, Stills & Nash).
Recently their riotously entertaining performances have found them shoulder to shoulder with high-profile fans like Robert De Niro, Chris Martin, David Beckham, Prince Harry, REM and Quincy Jones and they are reported to notch up between 200 and 250 gigs a year including performances in front of Sir Elton John and Rod Stewart. BIMM Alumni Jason King plays double bass with the 5 piece group and says, “Joining The Gypsy Queens is the best thing I’ve ever done!”.
