| Jim Williams (This Mortal Coil/Craig Armstrong) - Head of Guitar |
| As an active professional, Jim led an award winning avant-garde jazz trio with ‘Golden Globe winning’ film composer Craig Armstrong of Massive Attack and has performed as guitarist extensively in the studio with artists as diverse as This Mortal Coil, Pete Murphy, Maxi Priest and M-People. As well as having co-written with successful songwriters like The Matrix and Terry Walker, he also writes and produces many scores for TV and film. Jim was nominated for the prestigious Ivor Novello award in 2006.

| Guthrie Govan (Asia/Erotic Cakes) - Guitar Tutor - Visiting Faculty |
| Guthrie is widely regarded as one of the world’s finest guitarists, with an incredible stylistic diversity, backed up by a flawless technique. Guthrie won the Guitarist of the Year in 1993 and went on to secure the gig as lead guitarist in prog rock band Asia. He has played alongside legends like Tony Levin, Steve Howe and Vinnie Colaiuta. He writes regularly for Guitar Techniques and Guitarist magazines. |

| Kenwyn House (Reef) - Guitar Tutor |
| Kenwyn played guitar with British rock band Reef (Sony BMG), with whom he enjoyed massive global success. He has toured the world over supporting some of the biggest names in the business including The Rolling Stones, Soundgarden, Paul Weller and Texas. The band has chalked up an amazing 15 top 40 singles from 5 albums over 8 years. Reef’s second album ‘Glow’ which followed on from the incredible debut success of gold album ‘Replenish’ went straight in the UK charts at #1. Consequently Kerrang! ranked ‘Glow’ in the 100 albums you must hear before you die. We are very pleased to have him on board at BIMM Brighton. |

| Adrian Legg (Joe Satriani/Steve Vai) - Guitar Tutor |
| Adrian Legg has been voted ‘Best Acoustic Fingerstyle’ 4 years in a row by Guitar Player. He has shared the stage with the some of the finest players in the world including Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Richard Thompson and David Lindley. Boston Globe stated of Adrian’s playing "Technical brilliance paired with a troubadour’s tale-weaving skill: these are the things that keep Adrian Legg in lofty company among the world’s best guitarists." Adrian has just joined the team and we are very proud to have him on board at BIMM. |

| Ace (Skunk Anansie) - Guitar tutor - Visiting Faculty |
| Ace is the former guitarist and songwriter with rock band Skunk Anansie. The band clocked up over four million world wide sales and sold out venues all over the world. They headlined Glastonbury and played Nelson Mandela’s 80th birthday show in South Africa. Ace is now a solo artist and has established himself as an up and coming record producer and songwriter. He’s DJ’d for the Kerrang! Club tour, Monsters of Rock and Download Festival. Ace has also been inducted into the Marshall players’ Roll of Honour and in association with BIMM holds the Guinness World Record for the most effects pedals ever played simultaneously! More recently Ace has established his new music show on Brighton’s Juice 107.2 FM – Mondays to Thursdays 7-10pm. Be sure to tune in! |

| Scott McGill (McGill Manring Stevens/Guitar Techniques) - Guitar Tutor |
| Proclaimed "The Thinking Man’s Yngwie Malmsteen" by celebrated jazz and fusion author/critic Bill Milkowski, Scott McGill’s career started at 19 years old as lead guitarist for RCA artist Robert Hazard (“Girls Just Want To Have Fun”). His education includes a B.M. in Jazz Performance/Composition and 10 years of study with legendary composer/theorist Dennis Sandole (teacher of John Coltrane and Pat Martino). He went on to win critical acclaim in progressive rock and fusion circles and the mainstream press (Guitar World, Keyboard, Guitar Player) leading, recording, and touring in bands featuring legendary bassists Michael Manring, Percy Jones (Brand X) and keyboardist Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater) as well as Grammy Winning producers Neil Kernon and David Torn. Scott was Senior Lecturer of Guitar at The University of The Arts U.S.A., is a columnist for Guitar Techniques Magazine U.K. and continues to earn critical praise for his playing and music. |

| Steve Smyth (Ariah/Testament) - Guitar Tutor |
| Steve is a veteran of the metal music scene, a recognized, accomplished teacher and former columnist for Guitar World Magazine. He has achieved journeyman status through long term touring, songwriting and recorded work with bands Testament, Nevermore, Dragonlord and Vicious Rumors. Most notably, Steve was a songwriter collaborator of several tracks from the critically acclaimed Nevermore album, This Godless Endeavor. Steve is currently the lead guitarist for metal band Forbidden and a member of instrumental duo The EssenEss Project. He also runs his own independent label Two Louder Music. At BIMM, Steve teaches Foundation Degree Year 1 Pre-Production and Diploma Sight-Reading and Ear Training, sharing his knowledge and experiences of the studio and the road. His constant and persistent goal is to show you how to effectively apply rehearsal methods, tricks, sight-reading and ear-training skills to your musicianship, and find your voice! |

| Paul Bielatowicz (The Carl Palmer Band) - Guitar Tutor |
| Paul is a graduate of Leeds College of Music where he gained a BA Hons Degree in Jazz Studies. Paul has been at teacher at BIMM since day 1; writing a large portion of the course notes and specialising in monster technique. Paul regularly writes and records for both Guitarist and Guitar Techniques magazines. In recent years, he has earned a name for himself as a technical guitarist in the Prog Rock genre and is currently a member of both ’The Carl Palmer Band’ (Emerson, Lake and Palmer) and Neal Morse’s band. |

| Damien Morris (Sugababes/Moby) - Deputy Head of Guitar - Guitar Tutor |
| Damien graduated from the Musicians Institute 10 years ago and has been a session player and teacher ever since. Session work has been both live and studio and he has played with many bands including the Sugababes and Moby. Damien has also worked with members of The Average White Band, Jamiroquai and M People. |

| All the notes, all the time! And then some! A regular contributor to Total Guitar and Guitar Buyer Magazines, Pat has also a great deal of experience in music retail so he can advise you not only on your playing, but also how best to spend your money when it’s time to buy a new instrument. Pat has also recorded a solo album which he produced himself and has his own music production company. |
