| Jim led an award wining avant garde jazz trio with Golden Globe winning film composer Craig Armstrong of Massive Attack and has performed as guitararist extensively in the studio with diverse artists ranging from This Mortal Coil to Pete Murphy to Maxi Priest to M-People. He has also co-written with many great writers.
Recently he has prodeuced, written and remixed with RnB artists such as Terry Walker, LSK and Hinda Hicks and also scores for TV series.
This year alone, Jim’s writing and guitar playing has been heard by 40 million people in the UK alone ! |

| Guthrie is a jaw dropping talent! He has an incredible ability to mimic guitarists from almost any genre. Guthrie won the Guitarist of the Year in 1993 and is renowned amongst his piers as probably the most versatile player in the world. Guthrie is the lead guitarist in the prog rock band Asia and has played alongside legends like Tony Levin, Steve Howe and Vinnie Colaiuta. He also contributes to Guitar Techniques and Guitarist magazine. |

| Paul is a graduate of Leeds College Of Music where he gained a BA Hons Degree in Jazz Studies. Paul has been at teacher at BIMM since day 1; writing a large portion of the course notes and specialising in monster technique. Paul regularly writes and records for both Guitarist and Guitar Techniques magazines. In recent years, Paul has earned a name for himself as a technical guitarist in the Prog Rock genre and is currently a member of both ’The Carl Palmer Band’ (Emerson, Lake and Palmer) and Neal Morse’s band. |

| Ace (Skunk Anansie) - Guitar tutor |
| Ace is the former guitarist and songwriter with rock band Skunk Anansie. They clocked up over four million world wide sales and sold out venues all over the world. He headlined Glastonbury and played Nelson Mandella’s 80th birthday show in South Africa. Ace is now a solo artist and has established himself as an up and coming record producer and songwriter. He’s DJ’d for the Kerrang! Club tour, Monsters of Rock and Download Festival. Ace has also been inducted into the Marshall players’ Roll of Honour and in association with BIMM holds the Guiness World Record for the most effects pedals ever played simultaneously!
More recently Ace and Damian Keyes has established their new music show on Brighton’s Juice 107.2 FM – Mondays to Thursdays 7-10pm tune in!

| Toby Pitman - Guitar Tutor |
| Toby Pitman is a London based session player. He first picked up guitar after hearing ’I’ve got a Rock ’n’ Roll Heart’ by Eric Clapton at the age of 9. In 1990 he graduated from G.I.T in Hollywood and has been playing professionally ever since. Fluent in a wide variety of styles and techniques he has performed in almost every media from adverts to films, studio to stage. Clients have included George Michael, Cat Stevens and Clyde" the funky drummer" Stubblefield to name a few.
As well as session guitar Toby is also in demand as a Programmer/Producer and has extensive knowledge of studio technology and production techniques as well as being a first call composer/arranger for some of the biggest names in advertising. |

| Steve McCarthy - Guitar Tutor |
| Steve is an experienced and respected guitar teacher and musician.
A graduate of the Guitar Insitute and the London College of Music where Steve attained a BMus honours degree in popular music performance and prior to his degree also awarded a place in the top ten guitarists of his diploma year. Steve also pioneered the first ever popular music grade examinations on his homeland of Guernsey, Channel Islands.
A member of the Registry of Guitar tutors and a contributor to Guitarist and Guitar Tutor magazines, Steve is a dedicated teacher with the potential to really bring out the best in his students. |

| Jamie is a graduate of the London Music School where he passed with honours.
He then channelled his energies into playing guitar for progressive metal band Biomechanical from 2000, recording 3 studio albums & touring Europe & America exclusively. Jamie has a passion & admiration of all styles of music & tries to bring it into his approach to technical guitar playing. He also has a very keen interest in time manipulation which he has developed & pushed boundaries with drummer extraordinaire Pete Zeldman (Steve Vai, Terry Bozzio, Jaco Pastorius). Keeping ideas fresh & inspired is his thing.

| Martin Cooper - Guitar Tutor |
| Since graduating from the Guitar Institute in London in 1997 Martin has toured North America, Europe and the UK over a dozen times with various different artists and also worked on sessions at studios such as Abbey Road and RAK in London. He also writes songs and does production work and has recently had an instructional guitar book, CD and DVD released.
