Vocal Specialist Masterclass
27th May 12 - 27th May 11
Singing Voice Specialist Pam Parry and expert Speech & Language Therapist Duncan Brown gave an invaluable insight into the anatomy of singing. BIMM vocalists received straight talking advice from Duncan Brown who showed footage of the vocal folds in action. For some it was a reality check to look after their voices as they were shown the effects smoking or bad vocal technique can have on the voice.
The workshop was highly interactive with renowned voice rehabilitation expert Pam Parry who gave gems of information. She dealt with aspects of vocal tension, diaphragmatic reverse breathing and questions about acid reflux and its effects on the voice.
All of this was finished with a quick session to help a BIMM vocalist who wanted to have her mind put at rest about her upper register.
